- About Me:
- Prof Parameshwar P Iyer is a faculty member in the Department of Management Studies at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He received his Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University of California, Davis, USA; M.S in Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign, USA; and B.Tech. (Hons.) from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur India.
Prof. Iyer’s teaching and research interests include Project Management; Technology Management and Entrepreneurship; Business Systems Analysis; and Knowledge Management.
Prof. Iyer is the recipient of several awards including the Silver Medal for General Proficiency from IIT Kharagpur; Harry G. and Harriett A. Wright Fellow of the University of Illinois; and Escorts – ISAE Medal.
Dr. Iyer has offered management development programs and consultancy services in Project Management and Strategic Management to over a dozen corporate, including TCS, ITI, WIPRO, 3SE, Compsoft, Liqiwd Krystal, NTPC, HKADB, Tata Motors, Leo Infotech, and the University of Mauritius. In the past 22 years, Dr. Iyer has trained over 2200 professional engineers and managers in the area of Project Management. He has mentored over a dozen start up ventures and advised over 25 entrepreneurs. Dr. Iyer has been invited to be on the Board of Directors of three Information Technology Companies; and is also on the Governing Council of two Engineering and one Management Institute. Dr. Iyer has been elected as an Honorary Life Member of the Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management (GIFT); he is also a Life Member of the Systems Society of India (SSI) and the Institution of Engineers (India).
