We are launching the first Pune KM Community meeting this Wednesday, and your support and presence is indispensable for the community’s success.

The 1^st Pune KM Community meeting will be presented by Zensar Technologies, Tech Sparks and eClerx on Wednesday, February 29. Below are the details:

Panel Discussion – The Knowledge Movement: Trends and Opportunities

The panel discussion will address a wide range of KM frameworks, concepts, impacts, and trends. What have been the key contributions of KM? What are the success factors of KM in the long-term? What does it take to reach industry leadership in KM and win awards? What career prospects are there in KM?

The panel will be followed by interactive discussions between the panelists and audience.

Panelists:

Dr. Madan Mohan Rao – Tech Sparks

Profile:

Dr. Madanmohan Rao is a consultant and writer from Bangalore in areas of new media and knowledge management. He is one of cofounders of Bangalore K-Community and Editor of ‘The Knowledge Management Chronicles’, editor-at-large at DestinationKM.com and was on the international editorial board of the recently published book, ’Transforming e-Knowledge’.

His two books – ‘Knowledge Management Tools and Techniques: Practitioners and Experts Evaluate KM Solutions’ and ‘Leading With Knowledge: Knowledge Management Practices in Global Infotech Companies’ are one of the most referred books in KM.

Madan is a frequent speaker on the international conference circuit, and has given talks and lectures in about 75 countries around the world

Madan was formerly the communications director at the United Nations Inter Press Service bureau in New York, and vice president at IndiaWorld Communications in Bombay. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology at Bombay and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, with an M.S. in computer science and a Ph.D. in communications. 

Mr. Sandeep Suryavanshi – CIO, Zensar Technologies

Profile:

Mr. Sandeep Suryavanshi, an experienced IT visionary, is the global Chief Information Officer at Zensar Technologies. He is also driving the knowledge management program for Zensar and creating the Zensar KM Methodology which is being used for driving customer engagements in KM consulting.

Prior to this, he was the Chief Information Officer & VP at Technical Support at D-Link India Ltd. and General Manager, Information Technology and Integration (R&D) at PTC (Parametric Technology Corporation). He has also worked at Computervision, Bajaj Auto and Sakal. He has completed his MBA from Warwick Business School and Indian School of Business.

Why not try and get Dr Rao to speak on one of Mumbai KM community meets?

His books are a  lesson on KM. His understanding, experience and concept of KM is spot on not only for those of us in the profession but those outside of it as well.

Hope it can be arranged some time.
